Meenakshi is a Woman Inspiration, Wonder Women and Women Achiever awardee, a Mompreneur, the Best Carnatic Singer honoree in the Raaba Book of World Records, and a former IT professional — who followed her heart to build Art Splash Academy and Robotica AI Lab into thriving institutions since 2015.

Art Splash trains students on Trinity College London-based Keyboard, Guitar, Violin, Rock & Pop Vocals, Indian Music, Carnatic Vocals, Bharatanatyam, CSTD-certified Jazz dance, Arts, Yoga and Tabla. Robotica trains students on Robotics, Coding, AI, Animation and Graphics — with direct classes in Adyar, Mylapore and Nungambakkam.

Since going online in 2016, the academy's reach has grown to students across Germany, Singapore, Ireland, Canada, USA, Australia, UK, France, UAE, Kuwait and more — taught by experienced teachers, with 24-hour support to manage time differences across every location they serve.

Our Journey

Milestones Along The Way

2015

Founded as an art school offering classes in instruments, singing, dance (both classical and western) and a variety of arts.
Within a few months we introduced STEM education — aeromodelling, robotics, animation and graphics.
We reached 40 students within two months of starting.
For many parents, the founder’s thoughts and everyday discussions became an inspiration to find their own passion alongside family.

2016

We grew to 200+ students, and our first show took place at the Music Academy.
We sent our first batch of students for the Trinity exams.
We hosted the city’s best summer camps. Our robotics and aeromodelling classes had the warmest welcome, as early birds in introducing STEM.
Our brand reached abroad — clients pre-booked arts, instrument and robotics classes for their holidays in India.
Our art courses introduced different mediums such as resin, textures, mixed media, panels and much more.
We introduced coffee art to Chennaiites, along with one-of-a-kind zentangle art, reverse mural and other new art techniques — first in Chennai.

2017

Our diploma in arts taught Tanjore art, Madhubani, Kerala mural, charcoal, coffee art and much more.
Jewellery making, terracotta and many other courses helped home makers feel good and earn while working from home.
Students performed in temples, events, competitions and more.
We arranged rehearsals with instruments and recording experiences to motivate our students.

2018

We grew to more than 1,000 students.
Our summer camps offered not only music, arts and dance but lovely food and the look and feel of a home nearby with cousins — kids enjoyed coming back each year to learn, play, recharge and unwind.
Annual shows and performances kept our students’ passion alive.
Our students completed their arangetrams.

2019

Our students performed on online platforms and at prestigious sabhas such as Krishna Gana Sabha, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Dhandapani Auditorium and more.
We stepped into online teaching. It was well received, and helped us sustain through the COVID crisis.
Our clientele grew overseas and within India.
We introduced a rap course with celebrity rapper Blaaze, which helped kids open up and write out what stays on their minds.

2020

We grew our online presence.
We made sure students had instruments at home to resume learning, supplying from our own inventory wherever possible.
We ensured exam timelines were met and no student suffered because of the pandemic.
Our students performed for different YouTube channels and live online shows.

2021

We rebuilt and reworked the magic.
We addressed the challenge of excess screen time that parents wanted to stop, and helped with the transition as much as possible.
Academics after the pandemic put a lot of pressure on kids, and we patiently handled these stressful times.
Programs, competitions and events resumed.

2022 – 2026

We branched out to different parts of Chennai and explored collaborations to reach across the city.
Our performances resumed after a year, again in temples, sabhas and more.
We completed more salangai pujas and arangetrams.
